Friday Prompt: Today, we learned how to use clustering as a brainstorming strategy before responding to any writing prompt. Think about today’s practice. How did clustering help you generate ideas, examples, etc for the prompt? What part of the clustering process was most useful to you, and do you think you would use this strategy when planning an AP Lang essay? Explain.

Prompt Response: Clustering helped me generate ideas by starting off with the main subject in the middle and being able to build off of that. Having a visual aid is definitely beneficial, especially if you are under valuable time. The most useful part was the three subcategories at the end. This helps me with my problem of struggling to find good evidence, and it'll also help me develop my commentary.

Summary: Today in class, we learned about clustering, and we did an example together.

Reflection:  This week, we learned how to cluster and put our ideas together to help form our evidence and commentary. We also wrote a full-length essay under time pressure to help us prepare for the test in May.
